Is a registered charity that provides free healthcare services to children and adults with disabilities who have limited or no access to healthcare.

The organization was founded in 2016 and has since collaborated with health professionals from around the world who are committed to helping patients and participating in a volunteer program that allows them to expand their knowledge.

The Hands With Heart Foundation has had a tremendous impact on the communities it serves, the institutions it collaborates with, and the volunteers involved in its medical missions. In June 2021, we were recognized by the United Nations as an Example of Good Practices in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

APPROACH

HEALTHCARE

We provide a wide range of healthcare services aiming for a multidisciplinary approach to disability understanding and identifying the individual needs of each one giving their condition and environment. Our services include mainly but not exclusively osteopathy, physiotherapy, and behavioral optometry.

EDUCATION

We also share different approaches and therapeutic modalities with local health therapists. Additionally, we offer training in basic manual manipulation for locals aiming to obtain sustainability to the program.

We’ve positively impacted 3,021 beneficiaries across various missions and locations, thanks to the dedication of 506 volunteers from around the world.

We bring people together and empower communities to consciousness of disability through health care, social and educational actions.

Some key elements reported include raised awareness about disability, motivation to become better individuals, inspiration from compassionate acts, increased belief in the existence of good people in the world, increased willingness to help one another, enhanced interest in learning other languages, cultures, and geography, and greater awareness of other healthcare professions and the benefits of multidisciplinary intervention. These outcomes highlight the positive influence and transformative power of the Hands With Heart Foundation’s collaborations in promoting inclusion and understanding.
